Zep Advanced Kitchen Sink Drain Opener Gel – Works in Standing Water – 32 oz

This product actually worked as described. Used 16 oz and waited 1 hour. Then poured in a large pot of boiling water and the kitchen grease clog broke loose. The hot water "flush" is key. Purchased at Lowes on 6/15/2024.

Great product but only for kitchen sink.

I purchased to bottles and applied 1/2 a bottle, 4hrs apart and used both bottles and still clogged sink! Next time, just ask me for a donation and not waste my time!

Followed instructions, which are not clear,"Wait for clog to clear" how am I supposed to know when the clog has cleared I can't see in the pipes, rinsed it out and still nothing. Did it again and still clogged. Waste of money and still have to call plumber.

I have a home that previous owners upgraded kitchen. What they didn’t do was update the plumbing to be more efficient. The kitchen sink connects to the washer drain pipe. The pipe travels the length of the home and had the habit of becoming clogged over time with buildup due to a slight bend in the pipe. Had plumbers come out and recommend they do yearly maintenance cleaning that would cost a few hundred every time. It is cheaper to rent a snake auger and do ourselves when it clogs. Well, got another clog and didn’t want to go rent the heavy auger, but decided to try this due to previous experience with another of their products for my shower. Due to the length of the drain pipe, I used two whole bottles. Let it sit for about an hour, then added boiling hot water. Let that sit for about 30 minutes, added more boiling water and let the hot tap water run for a bit. Was able to watch the washer drain pipe and see the water rise a bit, then a small gurgling bubble, and the water just went away. Poured a couple more large pots of boiling water and let the tap keep running for about 10 minutes and no more overflow and clog. It was amazing to watch the bits of floating grease melt and disappear along with all the dirty water. After several years of doing cleaning of this pipe, along with trying other products that just did not work at all, I am confident to say this stuff actually works.

Followed instructions and it did not work. It says guaranteed to work or its free but there is no info on how to get your money back. False advertising. Now I am out $13.28 for Zep plus $325 for kitchen sink sewer drain snaking. Don't waste your money on this product!

It has poor directions. Pour in 16 ounces. "Wait for clog to clear" It doesn't state how long to wait. You don't know if it clears unless you pour water down the drain. What is the maximum waiting time? I tried this 2 days in a row. Still had the clog.

After trying several different ways to unclog our kitchen sink, I found this Kitchen Sink drain opener and was hopeful it would work. I was about at wits end with our sink. A plumber would have cost $540-$750 and that was not an option. After using the two uses the drain was still clogged. Just a frustrating process it has been.
