Zep Heavy-Duty Floor Stripper Concentrate dissolves and removes polish and heavy buildup from most hard interior floors including vinyl (VCT - vinyl composition tile), concrete, and rubber floors. Not for use on LVT and LVP flooring. The fast-acting, ammonia-free, low-foam formula is ideal for both commercial and residential floor stripping, making it versatile for various settings. One gallon of concentrate produces up to nine gallons of solution.

Instructions

Always test Zep Heavy-Duty Floor Stripper in an inconspicuous area prior to use and allow to dry to determine compatibility. This concentrated product must be diluted as directed prior to use. For light to medium-duty stripping: Dilute 16 ounces of Zep Heavy-Duty Floor Stripper Concentrate with 1 gallon of hot water (130°F to 150°F) – a 1:8 dilution. For heavy-duty stripping: Dilute 64 ounces of Zep Heavy-Duty Floor Stripper Concentrate with 1-gallon hot water (130°F to 150°F) – a 1:2 dilution. Steps: Dilute Zep Heavy-Duty Floor Stripper Concentrate per instructions, apply to floor with mop, wait 5-8 minutes for solution to strip polish and heavy buildup. Do not allow floor stripper to dry before rinsing. Pick-up solution completely with a clean mop or wet vacuum, rinse twice and allow to dry.

I mixed this product just like it said. I applied generously with mop. Let it sit maybe a little too long. It says 8 to 10 min. I probably let it sit 30. Anyway, just don't let it dry because then you have a problem on your hands. It doesn't just mop up the old layers of wax though. I had to get a scratch pad sponge and get in my hands and knees and scrub. Just do it while it's still wet and all the old wax comes up. Al the scratches and marks I had in my laminate flooring all came out. Like a have a new floor. But not as easy as mop on mop off. If I had a buffer with pad on bottom like in rhe military that would've been great.

The pictures say it all: this stuff WORKS! There is a reason a "never wax" floor is called that-you should NEVER put acrylic floor shiner on one. It looks fine for awhile, but the wax darkens and builds up. This floor is twenty years old and was regularly waxed (we're not going there). I didn't realize how dark and dingy it looked til we found a replacement tile in the attic. The Zep was diluted half strength with hot water, applied with an old dishrag and scrubbed with a steel wool scrubber after the recommended time on the label before being rinsed with clean water. Make sure you wear rubber gloves. It did take some "elbow grease", but the floor looks almost like new! Great product.

My acid stained concrete floored needed help! My husband is a farmer who often wears his barn footwear when coming and going. I think he thinks it’s okay because “it’s just concrete “ like the dairy barn. After 20 yrs, of using various chemical cleaners and wax on our floors and covering up certain areas with mats .I decided to take action.
