It seems to work well.
While the label says don’t use on wooden floors, after three years’ usage, the product has kept our hardwood kitchen floor shiny enough to avoid having to sand and re-polish. I am not advocating not following the directions, but at least in our case, no overt serious damage to the floor has occurred, which had a polyurethane finish.

I bought this to add a shine (and some weather resistance) to our porch floor. We have an enclosed porch with a Pennsylvania Bluestone (slate) floor. The exit from the back of the house is through a sliding glass door, onto the porch, then out to the stone patio in the back yard. My wife likes to sit on the porch and read and she commented that she wished we could do something with the dull stone floor, hence the Zep.I read the directions carefully and applied three very thin coats, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly. The Zep cured to a tough, shiny, waterproof finish that has held up all summer long, and it gets a lot of traffic. I grill 2 or more times a week all year long, so I am constantly in and out of the porch - rain or shine. My wife and I spend a lot of time on the patio and in the back yard tending to our flower beds. The floor has held its shine even with the constant traffic, and my wife could not be happier, "We got another room."I highly recommend this product. Read the directions carefully! And enjoy.
