Have some questions? Why not take a look at some of the most frequently asked questions about this product below to see if we have the answer.
What is a fast-evaporating industrial degreaser used for?
A fast-evaporating industrial degreaser is designed to quickly remove oil, grease, dirt, and lubricants from metal surfaces, machinery parts, and equipment. Zep I.D. Red Fast Evaporating Industrial Degreaser is particularly suited for demanding applications in automotive repair shops, HVAC service, metal fabrication, and other industrial environments.
Does Zep I.D. Red Industrial Degreaser leave a residue after cleaning?
No. The fast-drying formula evaporates quickly and leaves surfaces clean and dry without residue, eliminating the need for additional cleaning. Always allow the solvent to evaporate completely before restarting equipment or exposing cleaned parts to extreme heat or ignition sources.
Is industrial degreaser safe to use on metal surfaces and equipment?
Yes. The non-corrosive formula is designed for use on metal surfaces, machinery parts, and equipment. It provides industrial-strength grease removal while helping protect metal surfaces from corrosion.
How do you use a fast-evaporating degreaser on heavy grease and oil?
For light-duty cleaning, spray the surface and wipe it clean. For heavy-duty jobs, thoroughly saturate the area and allow the degreaser to work for 15–30 seconds. Follow with a second spray and wipe the surface clean. The two-way valve also allows the can to spray upside down, while the spout and extension tube help reach tight spaces.
What safety precautions should you take when using a solvent-based industrial degreaser?
Zep I.D. Red is extremely flammable, so keep it away from smoking, welding, sparks, extreme heat, and other ignition sources during use. Allow the solvent to evaporate completely before restarting equipment or exposing cleaned parts to heat or ignition sources.
