Have some questions? Why not take a look at some of the most frequently asked questions about this product below to see if we have the answer.
How do you remove dried concrete buildup from trucks, tools, and equipment?
A concrete dissolving cleaner can help break down hardened concrete residue so it can be rinsed away. Zep Mudslide uses organic acids to penetrate, degrade, and dissolve concrete buildup on Ready-Mix trucks, forms, molds, tools, and related equipment without relying on corrosive and irritating mineral acids.
Is Zep Mudslide safe to use on metal and painted surfaces?
The formula is designed to remove concrete buildup without corroding metal or damaging painted surfaces like typical concrete removers containing organic or mineral acids. This makes it useful for maintaining construction and concrete equipment where protecting the underlying surface is important.
How long should concrete dissolver sit before rinsing?
The cleaner becomes more effective the longer it is allowed to work on the concrete buildup and can be left on the surface overnight when needed. After sufficient dwell time, rinse away the dissolved concrete with a strong stream of water. Older or heavier buildup may require additional applications.
Should Zep Mudslide Concrete Dissolving Cleaner be diluted with water?
No. Apply the product undiluted to a dry surface. Do not pre-wet the surface or dilute the cleaner with water, as doing so can diminish its effectiveness. Spray it directly onto the concrete buildup and allow the formula time to penetrate before rinsing.
Can concrete remover work on old, cured concrete buildup?
Yes, but older and more heavily cured concrete residue may require repeated treatment. For neglected Ready-Mix trucks or equipment with buildup older than six months, repeat the application as needed. Regular use after heavy buildup has been removed can also help prevent concrete residue from accumulating over time.
